Concealed Carry Certification for San Bernardino Sheriffs Department At Hi Desert Rod and Gun Club

 

Hi Desert Rod and Gun Club, a certified vendor, proudly collaborates with Fight or Flight and Taking Flight Firearms Training to offer this course.

This course provides a 2-day, 16-hour Initial Certification program designed to fulfill the requirements for obtaining your CCW permit to carry.

Join Kim and me at the Hi Desert Rod and Gun Club to guide you through the process of obtaining your CCW. We'll answer your questions, walk you through how to get started, and explain what to expect along the way. We'll also discuss firearm purchases and help you prepare for the live fire qualification. This is a 2-hour, live-fire class designed to enhance your firearm skills. You'll focus on safe handling practices, improving accuracy, and becoming familiar with using a timer. In this session, you’ll learn how to confidently and safely operate your firearm, building both your skills and confidence.


 

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the prerequisites for enrolling in your courses?

Basic Firearm Safety Course
There are no prerequisites required to enroll in our Basic Firearm Safety Course. However, all participants must be legally eligible to possess and handle firearms.

CCW Renewal – 8-Hour Course
This course can be taken at any time before the expiration date of your current CCW permit.

Do you provide firearms for training or should I bring my own?

We can provide firearms for training purposes in the basic class.  Participants are welcome to bring their own if preferred.

How long does it take to complete the Concealed Carry Certification course?

The Initial CCW class is 16 hours over 2 days.

The Renewal Class is 8 hours in one day.

What are the prerequisites for the CCW Initial 16 hour Course?

Please Read Before Registering

This is not a beginner-level class. You must already be able to safely handle your firearm and demonstrate basic shooting and accuracy skills.

For the CCW Initial 16-Hour Course, you should already be in or starting the application process with the Riverside Sheriff's Department. Once you start the process and have had your interview, its time to take this class.

You should bring the holster you plan to use for concealed carry. If you don’t have one yet, I can assist you with purchasing the right setup, or I may have a loaner available.
