Initial Concealed Carry Certification for San Bernardino Sheriffs Department by the Hi- Desert Rod and Gun Club

The Hi-Desert Rod and Gun Club, a trusted certified vendor for SBCSO is proud to offer the CCW Initial 16 hour Training  

This 2-day, 16-hour Initial Certification program is specifically designed to meet all the requirements needed to obtain your CCW permit to carry. (This is not Renewal Certification)

Basic Firearm Safety Course

Learn essential fundamental firearm safety and handling skills. This course is for those who have never picked up a gun or who have not shot in a long time and need a refresher course.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the prerequisites for enrolling in your courses?

Basic Firearm Safety Course
There are no prerequisites required to enroll in our Basic Firearm Safety Course. However, all participants must be legally eligible to possess and handle firearms.

 

Do you provide firearms for training or should I bring my own?

We can provide firearms and ammo for training purposes in the basic class.  Participants are welcome to bring their own if preferred.

 

How long does it take to complete the Concealed Carry Certification course?

The Initial CCW class is 16 hours over 2 days.

The Renewal Class is 8 hours in one day.

What are the prerequisites for the CCW Initial 16 hour Course?

Please Read Before Registering

This is not a beginner-level class. You must already be able to safely handle your firearm and demonstrate basic shooting and accuracy skills.

For the CCW Initial 16-Hour Course, The requirements/qualification for you are on the sheriffs website. Please reach out if I can hel you find it.
